What Did Obama Ever Do to Deserve This?
This makes me want to puke. I cannot believe there are still people out there that hate only because of a man’s color. First it was birthers (and still going strong), now this?
A new lawsuit filed by an Alaska man aims to remove President Barack Obama from the state’s ballot, arguing that Obama is not a “natural born citizen” because he is African-American.
As stated above, for an Individual to be a candidate for the office of president of the United States, the candidate must meet the qualifications set forth in the United States Constitution and one of those qualifications is that the Candidate shall be a “natural born citizen” of the United States. As Barack Hussein Obama II is of the “mulatto” race, his status of citizenship is founded upon the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Before the [purported] ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment, the race of “Negro” or “mulatto” had no standing to be citizens of the United States under the United States Constitution.”
The extreme right are making it so much easier for Obama to win reelection with their attacks on Obama’s birth and his race and their attacks on women and contraceptions and vaginal probing to get a legal abortion.
While my every effort this year will be to get Barack Obama re-elected, I would much rather the reason be because of his policies and actions for America. Winning because your opponent is a good for nothing ass hole has no ’glory’ to it.

Don’t Swallow the Bait Folks:
Gas prices are on the rise again. In 8 months we will be having another close race between Barack Obama and the GOP’s nominee for president. Timing is everything folks. Let’s take a trip down memory lane shall we. Keep in mind I’m talking about my county’s gas prices.
In 2000 when George W. Bush got elected for President the cost of gas was $1.25 per gallon. It had taken nearly 40 years to get to that price. In walk the Republican White House and Congress. Prices began creeping up. We were told it was because of the two wars we were involved in remember?
The House of Representatives is the only place an investigation can be held. Who was in charge of the House from 2000 – 2006, the Republican Party that’s who? Which Party supports continuing the tax breaks for oil companies – the Republican Party?
By the end of 2006 gas prices in some areas were up above $5.00 per gallon, in my county they were nearly $4.00 per gallon. Guess what happened in 2007? The House was taken over by the Democrats. A little over a year later during the 2008 election cycle (Oil companies way to appease voters) the price of gas began dropping and by January 20, 2009 when Barack Obama was inaugurated our President, prices were hovering below $2.80 per gallon.
That price of gas stayed there until 4 days after the 2010 Election Day when the House was taken over by the Republicans. The price of gas went from $2.75 to $3.00 per gallon in less than a month. Prices continued to climb in 2011 to around $3.35, and now in 2012 (election year) they are once again raising to nearly the $4.00 mark and some are saying they’ll be in the $5.00 range by summer. Just in time to hurt a fragile economy.
To give you a little perspective on what the Obama administration has done about energy and our environment, read the facts here:
Now we see GOP nominees and their surrogates pushing stories about high gas prices – they worry the improved economy won’t hurt Obama in November. The media of course jumps on their comments and repeats them tirelessly; Perfect timing. Oil companies want Republicans in charge that’s how they make huge profits and are able to keep their tax breaks. Republicans have tried their level best to hurt our economy (hurting you and me) the past 3 years to reach their pronounced goal – to stop Barack Obama. Don’t swallow the bait.

Iran LIKES Obama?
The GOP contenders for President during their debate last night in Arizona talked about how President Obama has a failed foreign policy, especially with regards to Iran.
Mitt Romney said the following:
He(Obama) opposes military action. This is a president who should have instead communicated to Iran that we are prepared, that we are considering military options. They’re not just on the table. They are in our hand. We must now allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. If they do, the world changes. America will be at risk. And some day, nuclear weaponry will be used.
That was a flat out lie. Obama and Hillary Clinton has said repeatedly that Iran will NOT have a nuclear weapon that ALL options are on the table and that’s been communicated on live television. They’ve also gotten crippling sanctions on Iran now. Yet John King just let the man ramble and lie without correcting him.
Santorum said this about the President:
When the radicals in Egypt and the radicals in Libya, the Muslim Brotherhood, when they rise against either a feckless leader or a friend of ours in Egypt, the president is more than happy to help them out.
When they’re going up against a dangerous theocratic regime that wants to wipe out the state of Israel, that wants to dominate the radical Islamic world and take on the great Satan, the United States, we do nothing. That is a president that must go. And you want a leader who will take them on? I’ll do that.
Why John King of CNN didn’t corner Santorum on this statement is beyond me. He was accusing Obama of supporting radical Muslims over those that want to harm America and her allies. This was a lie.
Ron Paul on the other hand said:
I disagree because we don’t know if they have a weapon. As a matter of fact, there’s no evidence that they have it. There is no evidence.
Israel claims they do not have it and our government doesn’t. I don’t want them to get a weapon. But I think what we’re doing is encouraging them to have a weapon because they feel threatened. If you look at a map of — if you look at a map of Iran, we have 45 bases around their country, plus our submarines.
The Iranians can’t possibly attack anybody. And we’re worrying about the possibility of one nuclear weapon. Now, just think about the Cold War. The Soviets had 30,000 of them. And we talked to them. The Soviets killed 100 million people and the Chinese, and we worked our way out of it.
This is a man that tells the truth when it comes to wars. And as he says about himself, he is constitant.
We didn’t bomb the hell out of the Soviets but I’m sure there were conservatives pushing Reagan to do so.
If these people would stop and think about what they are saying they’d know that the Iranian leader would PREFER Barack Obama as America’s president if what they claim about Obama apeasing the man was true. Why would Iran risk having another right wing neo-conservative in the White House who would most likely bomb their country? Why not help Obama stay as President and meanwhile build the bomb (if the GOP’s statements are so true)?
Instead, the Iranian leader is threatening to cut off oil supplies which is scaring the oil producers and because of that fear they are raising gas prices sky high again. Knowing that high gas prices will HURT the economy.
If the economy begins to tank again, so will Obama in November (Iran’s best friend according to Santorum, Romney and Gingrich). Why would the man be so stupid to cause Obama to lose the race if he LIKES Obama’s foreign policy?

What Would Make You Marry?
The GOP rivals in last night’s debate implied that President Obama never advocates the idea of what a FAMILY is; a man and woman raising children together. This is hogwash.
All one needs do is watch this President walk, sit and enjoy life with his wife and two beautiful daughters. If that doesn’t ’sell’ what the ‘traditional’ family is I don’t know what could. Seeing this family share life together should and will make young children of today wish for such a perfect setting. The old fashion dream; a big house with a porch and white picket fence around it. Looking through the window you can view mom, dad and kids sitting around the kitchen table talking and laughing together.
Saying he understands the feelings that ‘other’ families might have is just admitting that having any two people loving and caring for one another through out their life time is a ‘good thing’ and should be something we all want — those families do not however change or harm the so-called ‘traditional’ family.
It doesn’t matter who does the teaching so long as the children are taught to love, keep one another safe, know right from wrong, pay their bills and save for their futures — that’s what really matters.
I believe what has ‘changed’ the traditional family and increased the amount of single parent homes over the years is women realizing they can survive without a man in their life but also realizing that to have children a man is needed at some point.
Men have also learned that they do not have to have a woman to be complete and that they can survive and have more fun if they just date a woman. The man that wants children can easily find a woman to have live and bare children with them without the committing to marriage.
The GOP contenders for President think that by constantly ‘talking’ about traditional families, that somehow magically men and women will ‘buy’ their story. Giving benefits to those that marry doesn’t work anymore. Married couples have had benefits from the government for decades, it hasn’t helped, at least not lately. The amount of children being born out of wedlock is up to 40% now.
So, what’s the answer? Haven’t a clue. Perhaps more incentives in our tax laws and stiffer laws for divorce?
Perhaps punishment would work? Lets say that if a couple decides to have a child without being married (whether living together or not), each person shall be taxed 1% of their income per child as a punishment. The money accumulated shall then be held in a trust for the child in question until he/she is 18. The interest accumulated would pay for the administration of such a trust. Keep in mind that if the child was created by an act of rape or incest only the man would have to pay (besides going to jail).
Would something like the above idea entice YOU and YOUR LOVED ONE to get married? If not, what would?
I might add a small suggestion to couples. If a man or woman has everything they want already –there is no incentive to ‘change’ things (get married). If you want your loved one to marry you, don’t give him/her everything he/she needs from you without a commitment from them. Marriage is a way to make them ’earn’ your complete and devoted ’attention’. That’s not to say that ‘testing the waters’ is wrong. Just don’t ‘dive in’ and never come out of the water.

GOP Plans on Using Gas Prices as Election Tool
Republicans will be using the increase of gas prices as a way to try and hurt the Democrats this election cycle. They will blame them on President Obama’s energy and foreign policies. Which is hogwash! If anybody has HELPED our energy consumption to be lower it is President Barack Obama.
Remember the Cash for Clunkers program or perhaps you remember the rebates his administration offered to consumers that bought new cars, air conditioners, furnaces, refrigerators, washer and dryers, new siding, insulation or roofing? They even required special light bulbs to be used to save energy. Each of those items cut our energy consumption. You might also remember who demanded that automobiles provide more advanced gas mileage per gallon of gas in the future? Each and every one of these things were voted down (but luckily passed by Democrats) by the Republicans in Congress.
I sincerley hope folks remember who SUPPORTS giving Oil companies their tax breaks and oil subsidies and refuses to ask anything from them in return. I hope they also remember who actually wants to allow these billionaires MORE precious land to dig for oil from and perhaps remember who raised the cost of gas from $1.25 per gallon in 2000 when Bush/Cheney and Republicans took control of the government to over $4.00 a gallon, UNTIL that is, the last year of the Bush administration. The oil companies conveniently lowered gas prices in 2008 hoping to apease voters during that election year to reelect Republicans.
As a reminder….
Gas Prices jumped from $2.80 to above $3.00 in my neighborhood just days after the November 2010 Election when the Republican Party took control of the House of Representatives and they’ve stayed about $3.30 ever since. The election was the only event that took place during that time period, so you tell me, what else could have suddenly caused the increase?
When you discuss gas prices and the Obama administration, try and remember the facts. The price of gas in our neighborhood stayed below $2.80 from January 2009 through November 3, 2010. In fact, there is a local gas station that went out of business right before the 2010 election day. Their sign says $2.75 per gallon.
It was only after Republicans gained control of the House (the place where any investigation has to take place) that the gas prices went up (just DAYS later) and stayed that way.
Now we are in another election year. Who do you suppose the oil companies WANT most to win in November of 2012? Republicans of course. They profit when Republicans are in charge. They went from $1.25 to $4.00 in just 7 years after taking nearly 40 years to get to $1.25 — that is definitely a huge profit don’t you think?
So folks, when you hear a Republican claim the prices are high because of Obama’s failures….don’t believe it. They are lying. If the price is going up it’s because the oil companies themselves are playing politics.

I Love This: Bush vs Obama Admins
The following letter was posted in my local newspaper. It’s a very good way to describe the last administration and our current one and what he was left behind:
Obama’s driving beats alternative
I love analogies. Conservatives and liberals use the analogy of a bus (our nation) headed over a cliff, arguing over whose driver is responsible for getting the bus into this predicament.
Bush stepped into the drivers seat of a bus that was headed towards a cliff, stepped on the gas, bailed out at the last minute when the cliff came into view.
Obama jumped into the drivers seat, stopped the bus from going over the cliff, but got it stuck in a ditch.
With little help he has managed to get the bus partially out of the ditch. But he hasn’t gotten it turned around and headed in another direction, because there are folks driving Hummers that are trying to push the driver and the bus (forgetting/ignoring there are real people inside the bus) over the cliff.
The folks in the Hummers will try to convince you that the current bus driver is totally responsible for this predicament. (more…)

Ridiculous Definition of a Liberal
A man sent in a letter to the editor of my local newspaper recently about the way a Liberal went to being a Conservative:
A rather gentle explanation of the difference in thinking between people with opposite outlooks.
A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be very liberal, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.
One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs.
The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.
Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew.
She didn’t even have time for a boyfriend, and didn’t really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.
Her father listened and then asked, “How is your friend Audrey doing?”
She replied, “Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She’s always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn’t even show up for classes because she’s too hung over.” (more…)

I’m Back!
My mother has been able to recover nearly 100% compared to the way she was last Friday and Saturday. Her right side was pretty much gone and her left was drooping from the stroke. She has a few memory and speech issues to work on but she’s much better.
I hope to start posting articles or comments soon! Thanks for hanging with me.
