BREAKING NEWS!
OBAMA PICKS HIS RUNNING MATE….IT’S

Barack Obama has chosen Senator Joe Biden of Delaware to be his Vice Presidential running mate.
As usual, my prediction was wrong. While I’ve always liked Joe Biden I continue to feel that Wesley Clark would have been a much better choice. Mainly because of his being outside of Washington and his all around experience.
Senator Biden would have been my pick for Secretary of State or Defense. His foreign policy experience and previous his experience working with many other White House administrations over his 35 years would give an advantage to anyone running for office.
Joe is a good debater and quick on his feet with biting comments – that – is indeed something this campaign will need in the coming months up against a man (McCain) that claimed he would run an honorable campaign. If Barack Obama has had to finally get to the same level as McCain has as far as attacking the other guy, it’s because the man (McCain) that swore he wanted to talk issues and not personal attacks – has flip flopped on those plans.
I will continue to fight for Barack Obama, and now Joe Biden, to win back the White House for the people of this great country.
UPDATE #1
Here is what Obama said about his criteria for selecting a Vice President this week(emphasis mine):
Let me tell you first what I won’t do. I won’t hand over my energy policy to my vice president, without knowing necessarily what he’s doing. I wont have my vice president engineering my foreign policy for me. The buck will stop with me, because I will be the president.
My vice president, also by the way my vice president also will be a member of the executive branch, he won’t be one of these 4th branches of government where he thinks he’s above the law. But here’s what I do want from my vice president, I want somebody who has integrity, who’s in politics for the right reasons, I want somebody who is independent. Somebody who is able to say to me, ‘you know what, Mr. President, I think you’re wrong on this and here’s why’ and will give mewho will help me think through major issues and consult with me, would be a key advisor. (applause)
I want somebody who is capable of being president and who I would trust to be president. That’s the first criteria for vice president. And the final thing is I want a [vice] president who shares with me a passion to make the lives of the American people better than they are right now.
I want someone who is not in it just because they want to have their name up in lights or end up being president.
I want somebody who is mad right now, that people are losing their jobs. And is mad right now that people have seen their incomes decline, and want to rebuild the middle class in this country.
That’s the kind of person that I want; somebody who in their gut knows where they came from and believes that we have to grow this country from the bottom up.
Here is a Sample of Senator Joe Biden in ACTION in a Debate:
The following is Senator John McCain’s first attack about Senator Obama’s choice for VP (Joe Biden):
That’s right – Joe Biden said Barack Obama wasn’t ready to be president back in the beginning of this year. Since that time, Obama has more then proven his ability to “LEAD”. Joe Biden has watched and learned as many of us have. He’s seen how Obama said we would be sorry for invading Iraq, that billions of dollars would be wasted – he was right. He’s seen how Obama said he would go into Pakistan if he had actionable intelligence of high value targets – he was right, President Bush has sent missiles there several times since Obama’s statement. Joe’s seen Obama say we should be ‘talking’ to Iran one on one – he was right, President Bush finally agrees. Joe’s also seen how Obama’s pushed for a timetable to withdraw responsibily from Iraq – he was right, now, not only do President Maliki of Iraq and President Bush agree; but Senator John McCain agrees as well (he’s calling it ‘goals’).
Joe’s also seen how Barack Obama take on the Democratic Party’s establishment and their most valued commodity – the Clintons and he won.
Joe Biden respects John McCain – yes that’s right. Joe is an honorable man. He respects a man such as John McCain for his years of service in the military and in government. That does not mean however, that he agrees with McCain’s policies.
UPDATE #2
Comment from Senator Chuck Hagel (R) about an Obama/Biden ticket:
“Joe Biden is the right partner for Barack Obama. His many years of distinguished service to America, his seasoned judgment and his vast experience in foreign policy and national security will match up well with the unique challenges of the 21st Century. An Obama-Biden ticket is a very impressive and strong team. Biden’s selection is good news for Obama and America.”
Biden should try sitting at the kitchen table in the servant’s quarters in his mansion! His personal home is larger than the White House! Who is HE kidding?
Senator McCain and Obama are now richer than Senator Biden. Who are you kidding?
Either way — if anybody is an elitist or ‘out of touch’ with the real world, it is John McCain. He doesn’t even know what kind of car he drives.
I want somebody that knows how many houses they own, what kind of car the drive, how much it costs at the pump these days, how much college costs, what it’s like to wait for health care in ER, how many soldiers have died or been harmed for a un-necessary war, how many innocent people have died since 2001.
John McCain is NOT that man. He’s a clone of Bush/Cheney
